The progress and well-being
of any community largely depends upon the quality of education
acquired by its younger generation.
REPORT OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
COMMITTEE
Education is
the key to alleviation of poverty and misery. As the saying
goes… “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day.
If you teach him to fish, you feed him for lifetime.”
The aim of WMO Pakistan Chapter is to make sure that every
single member of the Memon community is educated. For this
purpose, a giant project has been started at the WMO Pakistan
Chapter in the name of “EDUCATION FOR ALL”.
Under the EDUCATION FOR ALL Scheme, about 4,500 school
going students (up to Intermediate Level) are given financial
aid. A quarterly cheque is sent to each of the 500 schools
to pay the fees for the numerous Memon children studying
there.
