| WMO's SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION |
| The progress and well-being of any community
largely depends upon the quality of education acquired by its younger generation.

The World Memon Organisation has launched
a Scholarship Scheme (Zakat Fund) in order to alleviate the financial problems
faced by Memon students pursuing higher education.
Needy and talented students of the Memon community, who would like to pursue
POST-GRADUATE COURSES and PROFESSIONAL STUDIES in Engineering, Medicine, Accountancy,
Business Administration and other such fields in institutions recognized by the
University Grants Commission (UGC) are requested to please contact the World Memon

| Young Leaders Achievement Program (YLaP) |
| Young Leaders’ achievement Program (YLaP) is
a joint venture of four leading organizations namely World Memon Organization
(WMO), All Pakistan Memon Federation (APMF), Pakistan Memon Educational &
Welfare Society (PMEWS) and Memon Professional Forum (MPF).
YLap is is a three-months, ten–sessions (mainly Sundays) leadership training
program designed to develop teams of emerging leaders in the community working
together in innovative ways across social, cultural, and national boundaries in
order to promote community, personal and professional initiatives while taking

| 1st Memon Summer Camp - Highlights |
| The 1st Memon Summer Camp was held between 15th
June and 16th July 2008 at Sir Adamjee Institute of Technology (SAIT) and K.M.A.
School, Kharadar, Karachi. |
- 400 students attended
- Courses: English, Maths, Arts & Crafts, Dramatics
- Field Visits: National Museum, Mazar-e-Quaid, Pepsi Cola Factory,
Kings Apparel and Shield Corporation.
- Sports facilitiy were available
- Special Training: Firefighting and First Aid
- Workshops:

| UPGRADING OF MEMON SCHOOLS |
| Many schools which are owned and managed by the
Memon Organizations. Some of these schools are above average whereas the schools
managed by small Jamats which are financially not very strong, are not up-to the
mark. They need our attention for financial assistance to up-grade their education
standard. |
